This is the first version of Goku’s entrance on the ring, versus XXI!
This scene didn’t make the final cut, but Chibi Dam’z accepted to draw it so you could enjoy it anyway!

Goku isn’t afraid of losing.

First off, it’s just a tournament. The world isn’t at stake. The winner’s wish will be given. This XXI person seems like a nice guy (*).

If Goku had lost against Vegeta, he wouldn’t have had bad feelings. He’d have enjoyed it with his best enemy.

If he’d lost to Uub, he’d have been proud of his pupil.

Could he have lost to Freeza?

For Gokû, the idea of him suddenly being much stronger, perhaps by becoming also a golden warrior, is entirely possible (*).

Goku is facing himself first and foremost.
