That they fight to the fullest they can in base form to challenge each other and have a dragged out fight only for Vegetto to start getting angry knowing they can fight at a higher level and finally get him to start raging out.

....but I'll take them fighting at whatever level.

I don't know why people are complaining about the writing.
No matter what, Ghast was always going to fight Xxi (it makes sense to have the two characters that stood a chance against Zen Buu to face each other),but if that hadn't been the case then the outcome of this fight would always had been argued over.

Even if this chapter had been action packed,the comment section would be;
If Bra won, there would've been the 'Bra's a Mary-Sue/overpowered' arguments.
If Ghast had won, 'Ghast couldn't take out Bra/overpowered' arguments.

I think this chapter was a good way of developing character and redemption and was handled as well as it could've been.

The only "toxic" comment i will add is;
DBM is the best Dragonball fan manga going and the storytelling, world building and (unironically) the pacing is leagues better than the revent official material.

I've been reading so long that its cannon to me.
Theres so much more passion and thought put into this epic of a fan manga than the official franchise, so many twists, better plots and characters and I've loved every page.
Even the Namekian Densetsu, Chibi Bra and the 321Y manga have been a great addition.

The one thing I love above all about DBM is how unpredictable it is.

With all the speculation and BS about power levels, NO ONE ever gets it right.
