It looks fairly blow for blow on this page but I think that Goku got the better of Vegeta a few times throughout the fight but over all is just stronger.

I was thinking the same.
That they fight to the fullest they can in base form to challenge each other and have a dragged out fight only for Vegetto to start getting angry knowing they can fight at a higher level and finally get him to start raging out.

....but I'll take them fighting at whatever level.

...also, this Toriyama is clearly the Toriyama that remembers the story he wrote and didn't forget significant details like saiyans having tails

I don't know why people are complaining about the writing.
No matter what, Ghast was always going to fight Xxi (it makes sense to have the two characters that stood a chance against Zen Buu to face each other),but if that hadn't been the case then the outcome of this fight would always had been argued over.

Even if this chapter had been action packed,the comment section would be;
If Bra won, there would've been the 'Bra's a Mary-Sue/overpowered' arguments.
If Ghast had won, 'Ghast couldn't take out Bra/overpowered' arguments.

I think this chapter was a good way of developing character and redemption and was handled as well as it could've been.

The only "toxic" comment i will add is;
DBM is the best Dragonball fan manga going and the storytelling, world building and (unironically) the pacing is leagues better than the revent official material.

We've only just been introduced to Tambo as a character, we can't assume we already know the plot or his history.

One thing I've learned over the years of reading DB:M is that hardly anyone guesses the story right.
Just sit back and enjoy the content

Maaaan, how much would it cost to make DBM the official animated sequel to DBZ?
Which rights would we need and how much would lawyers cost to talk to Toei?

I've been reading so long that its cannon to me.
Theres so much more passion and thought put into this epic of a fan manga than the official franchise, so many twists, better plots and characters and I've loved every page.
Even the Namekian Densetsu, Chibi Bra and the 321Y manga have been a great addition.

The one thing I love above all about DBM is how unpredictable it is.

With all the speculation and BS about power levels, NO ONE ever gets it right.
