I see why some people consider the possible conclusion of the Yamcha-Androids cycle as underwhelming, yet I find his outburst to be quite liberating, cathartic even. It was about time that he told them to deal with their own issues, if they are so bitter with someone who was just trying to help.

My reason is :
Since Piccolo, nobody used Mafuba. Piccolo could use it against Raditz. He didn't.
He could do it against Vegeta and Nappa. He didn't.
Again against Freeza.
Against Androids, Cell, Majin Boo.
He didn't.
There is a reason. My idea simply is that Mafuba is obsolete.
The real reason is, I think, Toriyama wanted to do something else and Mafuba was too easy.
Why didn't they make Mafuba when the villain was too powerfull? Because it was useless.
So, I could make a line to explain that, that's right but Toriyama never did that in Dragon Ball, so I thought that was useless to explain it.^^

It all makes sense but I would also add that there is a distinct moment when Mafuba became obsolete, and that would be when Piccolo (the "new" one) repelled the one used by Kami during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai. After that, to my memory, it was never used again in the main canonic story, with the exception of a brief return during Super, which is in itself a bit particular and it wasn't written completely by Toriyama. Even then, anyway, most of the times it failed to achieve the desired results.
It's understandable that Piccolo lost his combat prowess with the age... the fact that he seems to have also lost all his wisdom and tactical insight is unfathomable.

He's not going forward, is he?
I guess he is: I believe it's a joke on the structure of Super Mario games - the 2D ones at least - where Mario can only move in one direction. The fact that Miyamoto is the one instructing him to only go straight is another indication.
I that Goky here a bit too eloquent for his standards, but I still find him more convincing and close to the "original" than he is in Super, where he became an all-round idiot. At least, here he's still a full fledged badass when it comes to fighting: that alone makes the character much, much more faithful to the one seen until the original manga ending.

I was thinking about Uub but, since Namekians are quite more long-lived than humans and Dende got so wrinkly, I'm afraid he's also dead or too old by now.

I don't know if it's an intended reference, but it reminded me a little of the use Yamcha did of the Sokidan (or "Spirit Ball" or whatever it's called in the adaptations) against Kami during the Tenkaichi which Goku ultimately won against Piccolo.
Back then, he threw the sphere in the ground and then let it emerge to hit his opponent, this time it's a bit like he directly went the same route that once the projectile did.

This would be a good time to reveal that they had the dragon fake his wish and instead did something else. Would really screw up his plans, also if that's not the case I have no idea where it goes from here. With the bad guy not dead, Piccolo stays in stone and since this is a Namekian oriented story, I don't see how else the story can go when the bad guy has the hero beat and apparently got immortality (of which he hasn't tested out yet).
But Porunga just confirmed two pages ago that he made Bracaa immortal... so, either there is some other guy with the same name who has been made immortal in his stead, or it's pretty much a done deal. 1 Replie(s)

Well, she IS a clairvoyant, so as a bare minimum, it's possible that she knows such a magic spell exists. If she was also able to find out is another matter; also because, if she did find out when Babidi was around, she could have easily sealed Majin Buu, yet she did nothing of sort.
It would make more sense that she's bluffing, or she learnt the spell afterwards. 1 Replie(s)

Just give him a senzu, surely the seed will be able to eliminate the virus.....oh no ¡They don't have senzus!
Senzu beans are useless against viruses: Trunks openly stated it when he got back in time to warn Goku about the androids and his future illness, caused by a virus. That's why he also brought him the medicine that Bulma developed, which was the only way to save him.
It seems quite clear to me that Goku is trying to regain is composure and stabilizing is breathing. Whether he will be successful or not I don't know, plus Vegeta could very well be trying to do the same right now, but it seems evident that he's closed his eyes to focus, and his mouth is in the classical "breathing out" position.
By the way, I'd like to really compliment the art, which is nothing short of amazing, but I also really like the development of both Goku and Vegeta. Is particularly good to see the main character acting as the hardened warrior is supposed to be, opposite of the current official productions that sadly reverted him to a beginner simpleton.

Gatsu81 was saying: They're both making a lot of assumptions here... and I don't know why King Vegeta should be convinced Bardock is dead, since he apparently contacted them very recently.
Zorn already told King Vegeta that Bardock and his team got attacked by Dodoria on the last page. And Vegeta should definitely know how strong Dodoria is. I guess he just thinks Bardock barely survived the attack somehow (which is exactly what happened) and that he must be in a very bad shape and died to his injuries right after the call.

Still, it seems too much to just assume he's dead... especially since he called, the possibilities of him managing to somehow evade or at least survive - which is what actually happen - are low but existent. What would it cost to try and contact him again?

Who is Mutaito?
Possibly a SPOILER for this special:
He was Muten's and Crane Hermit's master and the one who came up with Mafuuba (I can't recall what it's called in English, sorry) the technique which allowed him to seal Piccolo Daimao the first time. He's referred to - and very briefly seen - in the original manga as the hero who gave up his life in order to save the world from Piccolo's threat.
I understand people thinking about Ultra Instinct, yet, until now, I have the sensation it's a bit different. Plus, if you think about it, the concept is very similar to what Goku came up with in the original manga, in the Room of Spirit and Time, right before the Cell Game: to get used to be constantly in SSJ state, in order to contain the dispel of energy. Sure, if here they're both going to fight without transforming, on that regard it can look - at least visually - much more similar tu UI.

I wonder how kami learns the Mafuba because if popo or the other kami knows it then that might have been a good solution since later in yeah super it’s more about how strong you are compared to the prisoner so a weak guy should get trapped without killing yourself. That’s just super though it never comes up after piccolo reversed it on shen kami.
Kami will learn the Mafuuba from the humans, as he himself states right before trying to use it on Piccolo (who as you stated, reversed it on him) during the Tenkaichi. So they surely don't know it right now.

KidTrunks was saying:
"Minimal part of wickedness" ... ENTER DEMON KING PICCOLO
Nobody said that the wicked part is also weak, or innocuous. A small corrupt part inside an otherwise good spirit accounts to almost nothing, give it a body by itself and that will be pure evil, as it showed eventually.
Delphince was saying:
I dunno, King Piccolo was integral to Goku getting strong enough to beat King Piccolo in the first place. If you take him out of the equation, you also take out Piccolo Jr, and there were no other enemies of note before the start of Z, because everyone killed by Piccolo was resurrected by the dragon balls. So... Goku would have only been marginally stronger as an adult than he was when King Piccolo was originally released, and since the power gap then had been huge, history would have simply repeated, for the most part.
Knowing Goku, I don't think he would have stopped training anyway. And I don't expect his progress to be so insignificant. Certainly he won't have grown as much but, considering he's originally 15 when he meets Piccolo the first time and now he should be like 23 instead, I don't find it far fetched that the freshly awaken Piccolo, still in his old age, is no match for him.
Gridlock was saying:
...why are Gohan and Chi Chi wearing turtle shells and living at Kame House apparently?
A possible explanation would be that, since Piccolo didn't show up, Goku never drank the miracle water nor did he reach Kami's house (he was invited after defeating the original Piccolo, in order to prepare for the arrival of his son/clone).
Not having another master, he stuck with Muten and, marrying Chichi, they apparently go on as martial artists under the old man's guidance. It's also possible that Chichi, not having experienced the trauma of almost losing her fiance hours after finding him, is now more relaxed about living as the wife of a martial arts master, which is something she apparently didn't dig so much in the original series, despite being quite a good expert herself. Or, she could just be slightly different from the Chichi we now.
