The foreshadowing doesn’t have the same effect as before. (I can’t blame it for that.) That said, it still pretty clever using Bardock future vision here.

I was just joking about how convoluted The Goku Black Arc was. (Where a Kai from an alternate Timeline body swapped with his Goku, then teams up with his counterpart from Trunks.)
Of course Black would accept that story on the spot. Considering he’s the only character in this story with a more convoluted backstory.

Oh yeah, kinda forget this is from French sometimes. If you take into account the fact Dragon Ball is from Japan. That would make this story double foreign.

My point was, this part of the story is all about what the warrior “Should’ve done”. I’m judging this section by that standard. By the choices the heroes could’ve chosen with what was available. Not by the idea of anything goes cause multiverse. It was explained why Dabura wasn’t an option in the story, therefore it’s a cheat to said that the warriors should’ve involved. Which makes this feel like that Disney + “What if”, where it claimed to be about the butterfly effect. Instead focus on pulling whatever crap it wanted to do with the idiotic excuse of multiverse.
Also, Hollywood and MCU essentially killed the ”it okay because the multiverse has possiblities” excuse.
Honestly, I can just imagine these survivors. Having to suffer not one, but two apocalypses. And the first good news you heard in over a year is so convulsed all you can do just is shrug it off.
The inexorable distortion page 21
Problem here, is the fact that the author actually explained why Dabura wasn’t involved. (Something about his soul moving on or whatever.) So to add him here and act like he was available the whole time feels cheap.

But yeah, I do agree with the other comments about Bulma being the same age at the start of DB. And you could see her fully naked there in some panels. This here isn't even close to that. Heck, you could see much more revealing panels from Bra in the Majin rebellion. Go reread it, if you don't believe me. Even the "Main cover" (where she faces Cell, both Gohans, both Piccolos, Buu and the Ultras) for DBM colors shows more from her than this here. Although I can understand some concerns about it, I think it's also kind of a double standard to complain about this here.

My point is this, this is a multiverse tournament with monkey-human aliens can transform blonde to gain a power-up. I can accept that certain things like a kid having their neck snapped and other ultra-graphic murders. Why? Cause the story decent and doesn’t pays too much attention to it. Just gotta accept there needs to be some leeway in these stories. (Not asking for the story to go full blown Garth Ennis “Crossed”, mind you, but some leeway nonetheless.)

After watching the bull crap of What If. I’ve gained a greater appreciation for DBM. Mainly due to the fact it sticks to one changes causing a butterfly effect. (EX: What if the Namek fused into 1 warrior.) It makes these development have weight. Stuff like Krillin being the last warrior. Gero becoming a dictator. Just cool.

I get the idea is that this is suppose to end like Dragon Ball. (Open-ended and left to the reader imagination.) but it feels like a tease. At least give us a bit of a fight so we could see how far Tambo grew. Or very least, could we have seen Tambo mom? (For more than a single panel.)

Really got to love the details in this. Like it not just adding shading and color to the manga. Like instead of leaving outer space black, you see it ripple in blue. That shade of white to highlight the sound effect. The 2 nameless birds have different color set. There now a stadium in the window where the birds are. Just beautiful.

I do love all the strategies at plan in this fight. Like Janemba has a ton of creative abilities, being used in clever ways. While Gast is trying to counter them, while creating his own traps. I also dig how Janemba like an onion, where a layer removed everytime he’s damaged.

From what I can gather Bracaa immortality is the same as U-13 Karakotto. Therefore we can presume it functions the same way. Where he can survive any, but heals normally. Can only regenerate upon total destruction. Meaning if their a hole in his chest, it will not heal normal cause most of his body will stay intact.

Exactly, if he actually wanted Broly don’t you think Buu would’ve been more pissed? Guy saw the match against Vegito, got excited and decided to press a few buttons to see what these guys are made of. Buu might’ve been intrigued by Broly, but his real goal was to get a good wrestle in. 1 Replie(s)

Gast might not be the weakest, but he certainly isn’t the strongest. He was getting a beat down by U-3 Broly and U-13 SSJ3 Vegeta. Both surface level compare to their U-18 counterparts. I say Gast is a more defensive fighter, that tries to exploit the cracks in his opponents.
This definitely one the things I love about this color version. Where you can go back to the original version compare and contrast, like the scene where the Buu heads are stops. The sudden blue adds an extra impact.

True, but it still has the same effect. Vegito proven to be the most powerful thing in the tournament (so far) and got his win. The story would get boring if he always wins, but it would get frustrating the story refuses to acknowledge his power level during a major threat. I do like how both sides are depicted. It’s fitting given what we seen so far. Bojack crew is a bunch of straightforward brawlers. So it makes sense that his group is very disjointed, egotistical, and self-destructive. On the other hand Polar is an ancestor of Freeza, so it makes since that the army would do all the heavy lifting. Their highly organized, humble-ish (as in they know they’re Boss is OP compare to them), and productive.

The ultimate paradox of Vegito. He has Vegeta and Goku drive to reach new limits and face strong opponents alright. However…
1. He has Vegeta arrogance, but none of the pride. Vegeta at least tries to do the hard-work and has the honor to take his opponents head on to prove number 1. Where Vegito seem more interested in being “proactive” in case like Bra. (If you get what I mean.)
2. He has Goku drive, but none of the passion. Goku loves fighting for the sake of fighting and improving himself no matter the circumstances. Where Vegito prefer to be at people up to blow off steam.
3. Also Vegito was born before the Kid Buu battle. Were Vegeta able to self-reflect, see being the strongest doesn’t really matter. So they’re that mess too.
Pretty clear Vegito isn’t a warrior like his counterparts. He’s essentially a thug. A thug that’s reaching his boiling point. 1 Replie(s)

I have to admit, one thing DBM has over most stories is foreshadowing. (Like Universe-3 Super Sayian Vegeta.) Each universe I has their own story, Multiverse Tournament is the story threat to connect them. We know the ultimate end of these stories. (Like Universe-3 Sayians are doomed.) However stories will jump around instead being told linearly, similar to the Astro City series. Forcing us, for lack a better term, create the timelines. So interesting to see minor changes that created these worlds and the effects they had on the over-arching story. It’s a story the device DBM takes full advantage of. I’m glad they do.

And that was a lot, it was deep and showed the Namekian way in the purest form, and what's more, the purpose behind protecting Arashi then was also protecting one of their brothers, their own kin, from making a big mistake he would never have been able to walk away from once he crossed that line. What the Namekians did was indeed moving, but it's like, you're gonna tell me that despite everything I've mentioned and more, he wasn't thinking about such an unexpected thing that was going on for his sake? Cause Arashi seems like the kinda guy who went through quite a tragic life to be shaped into the pirate scum he is. I mean, isn't that the case with most villains, both in media and irl?

Despite his manic laugh, he's not the Joker. We saw Arashi's face, too, as he stood in that crowd of determined and faithful Namekians. He's come back like that never happened.
Valid Points, but I can see what the writer going for. The idea there are people that scummy out there. While doing right thing may seen noble. It doesn’t mean it’ll always end well. How when shown kindness and given a second chance, there are people too loathsome to change. 1 Replie(s)
