I think they will have Goku use kaioken as a callback to galick ho vs kamehameha, but it won't give Goku the win, as the fight will most likely end with both of them beating each other in base

If Vegeta doesn't get up its gonna be extremely disappointing

zero logic was saying:
It is hard to justify Goku or even Vegeta coming up with something new when Vegetto hasn't over the same number of years. Especially when Vegetto developed other things like energy constructs.
On a side note, I know the chapter is called Vegeta vs Goku but I am afraid we will get like 3-4 pages of filler until the actual fight starts (like the cooking pages in the Buu vs XXI fight)

I Think the point is that Vegetto is a different entity from Goku and Vegeta, he has his own personality and ideas and only keeps their memories and powers combined. As we have seen Vegetto has things that Vegeta or Goku never had, like those tantrums he throws from time to time that neither Goku or Vegeta had, it is his own things. So since his ideas and thoughts are his own, he most likely can't think like Goku or Vegeta would do individually, if that makes any sense
As the user above said, the universe to their left is Babidi's, since Gohan defeated them in this universe, it is safe to say he told Trunks how they looked.
The big powers are most likely Dabura and Majin Buu.

As i thought does have super saiyan 3 and will only use it now to keep his full power only for Goku, still didn't think he would play Cell like that.

I bet his plan is to use his son's technique where he momentarily transforms to 3 for bursts, but maintains level 2.
That's as generous as I can get. This Vegeta is doing some pretty bizarro shit. Why the senzu beans at all? He barely took any damage. He pulled a bunch of tricks to make Cell burn energy then gave away that advantage? I mean I guess it could be a callback to Goku giving Gohan the same advantage, then giving him a bean, but it all feels so pointless. It feels like the writers wanted Vegeta to be "clever" and fucked it up. It was going pretty well, too.

True, what was the point of everything that happened prior to this?
Vegeta probably tried many techniques until he figured out the right path, so my guess is he is going to use a lesser version of his full power or failed techniques/transformations that are enough to win him the match, like super saiyan 2 grade 2 or some stuff like that, things he came across that were not good enough and got discarded.
DB Multiverse page 1945
Still Vegeta doesn't seem too far behind, Cell seems be going all out and barely dodged the first hit and also Vegeta managed to block the first punch. Hyped to see where this goes.

In the preview image of the fight that hasn't yet happened, we can see Vegeta is without a scratch and still using what seems to be SSJ2...

Jack was saying: "Goku remained silent, watching his rival closely. Kakarotto’s powerup was shocking, but it was still a little hard to believe that a Golden Oozaru would be enough to defeat Vegeta. After all, he knew what the Saiyan Prince was really capable of, more or less, not to mention when it comes to formidable fighters that Vegeta ranked among the best he’d ever faced. In fact, even Kid Buu wouldn’t compare to his rival anymore..."
And this is what Salagir the author of DBM said about SSJ2 Vegeta & Goku:
Q. Does Vegeta(u18) and Goku (u18) capable to defeat Kid Buu only using SS2?
Salagir: No. (3:20:34 min)
This also what Salagir said about the novel when he was asked about Uub's magic:
Q. Many people relied on Uub's healing powers during the fight, and others said it was impossible, even though it was in the novel: what is your opinion on Salagir?
Salagir: Well, actually, Uub being able to heal is not happening just yet. But spoiler! He's going to learn that in the future. Actually, there is a scene where he is learning about that, which we did removed. In French I originally showed the script where everyone is coming back, and Buu is resetting everyone and everything. I wanted, ehh...Vegetto is putting quite a lot of blows on Son Bra, and everyone starts seeing it and Gast steps in. And I had a scene where Bra was dying and Uub was like “She's dying! What should we do?!”, and Buu is coming and telling Uub “you do it like this, you do it like that”, thus is teaching him how to heal someone. But we removed that and changed everything, so Uub does not know how to heal anyone just yet. But maybe I told that information to the writer of the novel, and he used it. And now we have a little bit of misinformation. But Uub cannot heal himself or others right now.
conclusion:
The novel has a lot of misinformation & we can't take everthing in it as canon. So, yes: Salagir's words >>>>> the novel.

The novel has yet to be proven wrong, if what Salagir said was true, Vegeta should be oneshot by Cell who is above Mystic Gohan. Otherwise the novel, salagir, and the comic contradict themselves. 1 Replie(s)

LeonKaiba was saying: None of that negates what I’ve said, just because Vegeta and Goku can’t beat Kid Buu with only SSJ2, doesn’t mean they aren’t much closer to his power at this point with said forms. Could be close enough where they could give him a great fight but lose and thus would need more to take him down, like new techniques. That ‘power chart’ was made years ago, doesn’t necessarily still apply to this day, and only you said he was the same power wise as he was years ago.
If SSJ2 can't beat a SSJ3 then it's no where close of beating Kid Buu, because SSJ3 wasn't enough to kill him too. So, actually, it does negates what you said.
LeonKaiba was saying: Also I do agree he’s written himself into a corner with a lot of what he’s said, which really sucks cause DBM is so good and to really limit himself with such things is truly a big mistake, saiyans are not meant to have limits and should always be able to make great strides in power, not reach a point where any gains they could get is minimum especially after 20 years. Not to mention if he really plans to have no plan for new transformations for the saiyans as someone said, even though that’s kinda been proven wrong with Super Saiyan great ape as that is technically a new form, then Vegeta really shouldn’t stand a chance cause he should get speed blitzed easily if his SSJ2 is still so much weaker than Mystic Gohan. If that’s the case then the fight should be boringly one sided, Vegeta’s intellect and experience meaning nothing to such difference in power like with everyone vs Bra or he’s gonna have to basically say fuck it to some of what he’s said before and retcon it all, only way for Vegeta win then.
I really hope it doesn't come to this. It worth to note that this fight was written years ago, before Goku vs Uub even.
Salagir also was asked about Vegeta's "hidden power" or what ever & he said this:
Q. Why isn't Vegeta using his overly foreshadowed new form when problems arise?
Salagir: Ahh! Why indeed. This is okay! We got this under control. (3:37:48 min)
So, form this answer, it seems that Salagir found a way for Vegeta to match Cell's power using only SSJ2.

To increase the tension, i think both will wake up, but Uub won't be able to stand up before Goku.

Wow. That's... extremely disappointing. This is probably the match that I've been the most excited to see for about 7 years. Unfortunate.
Same, i have waited for this fight for a long time...lowering the art level for these last fights is truly a shame...
Return match? Is he gonna make a buff ssj2 or something? maybe that will do the trick to hide his real power until he fights Goku

Regarding Vegeta vs Cell:
I think Vegeta is not gonna show his power here, i believe he may show he can do ssj3 (just not to show his real power) but never actually use it because he doesn't believe in it or show a partial part of his full power. I think his real power is a mystic form made entirely by him, no magic, it may have drawbacks or whatever but the concept will be the same.
Clearly when he was talking to Goku about Gohan being stronger than them with no transformations and blablabla and Goku saying he doesn't THINK they can possibly achieve something like that, it will be a nod to what's gonna go down later with Vegeta actually doing it by himself (which goes with Vegeta's character doing everything with no help)
