Chapter 7
Translated by Virgilio212 & proofread by ZenBuu
In a small world, unknown to the many galactic races that populate the Universe, great turmoil was taking place on the planet's surface. Under a purple sky dotted with lightning and land swept by violent storms, a crowd gathered in a circle around two individuals who were brutally confronting each other. The two creatures in the spotlight were representatives of the tribes that ruled this cataclysmic world—two species that had evolved in different ways and adapted to the harsh environment. Their degree of civilization was not very advanced; they were illiterate barbarians whose only concern was beating others mercilessly.
That day, both tribes came together to determine once and for all who was at the top of the pyramid in terms of absolute strength. The first group, deformed beings of small stature with blue bodies and four muscular arms, depended more on the number of blows given and the speed with which they delivered them. The second group, colossi three times their size, were not very fast, but the strength of their fists could break large solid stones and even crack the ground. For them, crushing with a hard right hook was all that mattered. The two champions fought fiercely. Neither one wavered or left the advantage to the other. Relentlessly, they faced each other under the exaltation of their companions, who wanted to see the enemy reduced to dust. However, they had no idea of the unique and ephemeral privilege they would have of encountering the immeasurable entity that would step onto the surface of their world in just a few moments.
In the sky, a strong purple light began to shine brightly, and an immense wave spread among the clouds. These clouds were dispelled by the force of the explosion, revealing the peaceful and unfathomable depths of space. Perplexed, all the creatures looked into space to observe this sudden phenomenon that escaped their understanding. If they had been able to read Ki, they would probably have screamed in panic upon feeling the incredible level of energy slowly descending toward them. But these creatures were rustic, ignorant, and, above all, belligerent. A few seconds later, a being covered in a pink aura appeared a few hundred meters up. This being let himself fall gently to finally put his foot on the ground, fractured by the interrupted fight. This individual was as strange as possible to the stunned creatures. An entity with a pink body, dressed in a simple white fabric at the legs, held by a black belt with a bizarre logo. A vigorous torso with bulging muscles. Dark black armbands on the hands and a long crest hanging behind the head. Around the base of this crest were intriguing holes. And, finally, that face with grotesque shapes, unfamiliar to them. A visage that could be described as human on other worlds. And, above all, that sparkling glow of malice deep in red eyes bathed in an ocean of darkness.
Buu had been wandering the universe for four months.
One hundred and twenty-two days. All of this, obviously considered from an Earth time perspective. But that's how Buu positioned himself. The notion of time had no effect on an eternal being, over whom seconds and millennia had no influence. He didn't want to take the lead and used his absorbed Earthlings to build a more or less stable reference. It was useful as he realized the boredom that gradually took hold of him. Four months was a rather insignificant period of time, but at the same time, it was full of meaning. During this period, Buu explored many planets, looking for powerful adversaries. During his odyssey, he had sharpened his perception of energies for entire systems, eager to finally find a fight worthy of himself. In the first few weeks, he managed to locate some interesting powers and challenged all of these creatures with some strength. However, the excitement soon gave way to disappointment and then exhaustion. None of these spatial entities rivaled even a tenth of his strength. Thus, four months later, he arrived on this planet lost in the immensity of silent space, having once again felt curious multiple forces. He had made a habit of announcing himself grandly, trying various dishes to impress the natives of the worlds he visited, and instilling a hint of dread with his incredible power. However, some people were backward, not very advanced, and could not feel the energies.
Upon entering this world and quickly looking around, Buu soon realized that he was once again dealing with weak and ignorant individuals. More brainless, unintelligent bullies. And this disgusted him more than anything, because the ability to reflect and enjoy life were the qualities dearest to his heart. He frowned, tired of not getting what he wanted so badly. His gaze hardened automatically, causing a stir among the creatures who were frustrated by the interruption of their event. They had no conception of any divine force, higher beings, or even space itself. They weren't questioning the powerful explosion in the sky or the nature of the being in front of them. He was like a stone that had fallen into a narrow passage and needed to be removed, nothing more. – "Of course." he sighed, shaking his head. "What did I expect..." Enraged, all the creatures threw themselves at Buu, unleashing a certain energy they were unaware of, accustomed to attacking with all their strength in their daily brutality. But this wave was not enough to inspire the Djinn to move. With a single blast from his iris, Buu generated two red beams that instantly pulverized every creature in front of him, causing the genocide of two species. His power was such that the planet was pierced by lightning, causing it to slowly disintegrate. Buu sighed dejectedly. Before taking off to leave this shattered world, he casually raised his left arm into the air, piercing the heart of the tiny champion who was above him, ready to attack. The creature was fast enough to escape Buu's cataclysm and attack him from above, but it did not escape his attention. The Djinn unceremoniously threw the corpse to the ground and quickly flew into the heavens pigmented with magma ink, the reflection of the world crumbling to its core. Once again, he devastated an entire planet without making the slightest effort.
Four months since no one had forced him to use his muscles. He felt rusty and full of frustration. Had he really defeated the strongest warriors in the Universe on planet Earth? Was there no one outside who could transform, send blasts of energy high enough to rip his arm off? He sorely missed the thrill of difficulty. He wanted to be pushed to his limits, to surpass himself, to crush powerful enemies of great value to gain a sense of satisfaction. But it was more the boredom and anger that he felt inside, as he had started this long road through the infinity of space.
Buu decided to land on a sparsely inhabited planet, most of which was covered by an ocean of pure water and a large island where little furry gnomes lived. He enjoyed making meat skewers and devouring them greedily, but he took little pleasure in it. In the past fifteen days, he had not located any significant energy. He had explored almost nine different systems and, just out of anger, he made the sun of the last one he visited explode. He was fed up. Tired of being bored. Tired of these worlds without challenge. He had enormous power, which he used to destroy worlds at will, but nothing could resist him, absolutely nothing. Higher up in the sky, he saw a moon, clear and peaceful, crossing the sky. He extended his hand toward it and sent a weak blast of Ki that crossed the celestial body and landed on a much larger planet several tens of millions of kilometers away, causing it to explode. He closed his eyes, exhausted by his own excessive power. It really was the case. He was truly too strong for this world.
During this rest break, Buu began to delve into deep introspection. The memories of his past engrossed him, manifesting in his spirit as nostalgia mixed with a certain sadness. When he left planet Earth to embark on this long space journey, his plan was to find worthy opponents. Earth was a most stimulating surprise, thanks to which he was able to become who he is today: a being of unusual power, blessed with exceptional intelligence, and now aware of many things. Notably, the fact that he was originally a bloodthirsty beast, thirsty for bloodshed and mass murder. Then he became a pink whale without the slightest trace of experience. In both cases, he was manipulated by execrable wizards who used him to satisfy their regrettable ambitions of conquest. But thanks to the Saiyans and Earthlings, he managed to emancipate himself and was able to live unique and dazzling experiences.
Through this ordeal, Buu saw only one destiny: that of a fighter who lived solely for combat and adversity. Each time he faced a challenge, a harder one followed. Gotenks, then Son Gohan, then Vegetto. An increasingly stronger adversary appeared and threatened his existence, forcing him to evolve through the absorption of the enemy. In this way, Buu acquired new physical and mental faculties, eventually becoming a being beyond everything. Only a Vegetto or his equivalent could threaten his newly discovered supremacy, and deep down, he knew that such an entity did not exist. The fight. The destruction. The thirst for blood. These were the concepts imprinted on him from the moment he was conceived and had driven him to devastate the universe five million years earlier. Even as a brainless, obese child, murder had been a fun game, which the Earthling named Satan had mitigated until it disappeared. This repression in the process caused his true rebirth as an evil Djinn. From then on, through his absorptions and battles, Buu realized the pleasures of life. On this planet where he found himself, he managed to appreciate its charms, the beauty of the maritime horizon accompanied by the sound of the waves and the zephyr caressing them. Without Son Goku and the other Earthlings within his organism, he would never have appreciated such a landscape and would have instead been content to destroy it. The fight remained his goal and favorite activity, but now he was a being who knew how to value the universe and what it had to offer. He had three things he appreciated more than anything: free will, intelligence, and consciousness.
Buu's search to find an opponent who could match him yielded nothing. There was nothing exciting in this initial period of his new life in the galactic depths, neither in his visits to various worlds nor in the species he encountered. Inspired by Vegeta's memories, Buu tried his luck in the former worlds of Frieza, which he knew to be densely populated and technologically advanced. He wondered if the remnants of Frieza's army had any value, or if the defense technology of the fallen empire would excite him more than the Stone Age beings of his previous conquests. With nothing to do, he destroyed the jewel of Frieza's empire, its capital, in two seconds. The city had fallen into the hands of revolutionaries hungry for freedom. He was so disappointed with the beginning of his journey that this shared taste for free will and the desire to break free from a master did not affect him. Only the fight mattered to him; he had the existential feeling that he lived solely for that purpose.
Tired of all these endless disappointments, Buu decided to land on a world whose surface was covered by intense lights. He saw it as a sign of a developed population and needed to rest for a bit. Heading towards the most prominent lights, he could see a huge city bathed in the glow of large luminous pipes that encircled buildings and skyscrapers. It wasn't electricity like what we find on Earth, but a strange unknown energy. Buu felt some curiosity about it. His feet touched the ground of a vast place bathed in the artificial light of this world's technology. The sky was plunged into deep darkness. Buu was astonished, as he had seen several suns in the solar system, which were close enough to illuminate this planet. He looked around. Hundreds, thousands of living beings were conversing or going about their way. Various species that seemed sufficiently advanced in the fields of communication and science. Intellectual beings, which didn't displease Buu, who had dealt mainly with beastly creatures in recent months. Moreover, he wasn't there to fight, as he no longer had hopes of finding an interesting confrontation. He just wanted to stop racking his brain for a moment and take a look at how the people of this world lived.
Being the most powerful warrior at the moment, he would go on some sightseeing tours. After all, if his main goal was to employ all his power in an exciting battle, he had also undertaken this journey to appreciate life in all its forms. He had exterminated entire peoples in his frustration and boredom, but in the end, he wanted to confront something new, strange, and no less important: to discover the universe, its mysteries, and its pleasures. He was like a newborn baby who had only known violence and aggression until then, entering a completely new dimension in his life. He wanted to experience the calm and flavor of exploration, in peace, suppressing that deep and powerful desire to fight and massacre populations.
That's how Buu began to wander around this grand plaza, amidst the enormous crowd that frequented it. The people present were very diverse, with an intergalactic cosmopolitan character. In fact, many exotic species made regular visits to this world, which happened to be a commercial center of an emblematic sector of the galaxy. And if Buu was a unique and strange being in the eyes of this world, the residents and visitors did not find him odd when they encountered him. You could encounter special and mysterious creatures in this vast universe, with this strange guy with the large, pink, muscular body being just one of them. Driven by genuine curiosity, Buu wandered for several hours among the stalls and stands that made up this nighttime square. They showcased all kinds of technological products and funny shows. Buu was fascinated by these creative techniques that he didn't understand in conception, he who was focused on destroying things. Sometimes the sky would light up, crossed by rays filled with red and green sparks. These colorful glows gently landed a few meters above the square, hovering in the air. It gave an atmosphere that was, at the very least, impressive and joyful. Buu didn't know what word to use for everything he saw. Breathtaking? Wonderful? Fantastic? He was awestruck by everything he saw, of course. But he was frustrated by not understanding all these phenomena he was witnessing. He felt the desire to unleash again. However, he managed to suppress those bloodthirsty impulses of the warriors that were dominating him. He wanted to behave like a tourist and enjoy the beauties of this world. No spontaneous spraying over this planet.
After a few moments, Buu noticed a crowd gathered in a circle around a single figure who seemed to monopolize the attention. He managed to pass through the people who were observing him, first becoming angry, then fearful, upon noticing the protruding muscles of his gelatinous body. It was obvious that this alien was a strong individual. Without mentioning energy, a concept that few in this world feared, they visually saw that this creature should not be provoked. Buu walked up to the front rows of the crowd, blocking the view of some spectators who did not protest against him. Anyway, it wasn't the sight that was necessary here, but the hearing. In the center of the circle formed by the aliens, several individuals were sitting on tall furniture about a meter and a half away. Equipped with five arms, this group of green-skinned aliens with glassy eyes - "no doubt a sign of blindness," thought Buu - played a voluptuous melody on curious stringed instruments, unlike anything one could find on Earth. Among Buu's absorbed, Son Gohan and Bulma had the opportunity to learn about the art of music. However, their memories and sensibilities had very little impact on the perception of their host, who, perplexed, squinted his eyes when he saw these musicians in the spotlight. From what he understood, the audience was fascinated, enchanted by what seemed to be an exceptional performance. At least that was his inference. He himself did not understand the effect that music and, by extension, art could have on rational species. He was still discovering the extent of the emotions that arose in him as a result of his absorptions and his fight against the Saiyans. Pride, anger, affection, excitement, fear... so many feelings that he only knew in momentary waves, and of which he had not yet realized the full extent... Buu wanted to understand. He wanted to know what the term "feeling" meant. Of course, he knew ecstasy and terror. The ecstasy of painting pictures of decomposed bodies and planets reduced to dust, and the terror of being locked up or pulverized again. Thank you, Vegetto. Murder and combat were the only forms of art Buu knew. But he wanted to step out of that frame and plunge into a new existence, independent of his creator's magic. He was at the peak of all creation and intended to enjoy as much as possible of what life had to offer. Buu noticed a small bald alien to his right. The latter had his eyes closed, and a stream of tears could be seen on his cheek. Presumably, this being was touched by this melody that Buu sought to analyze and understand. Using a psychic faculty inherited from the Kaioh-shin he swallowed months before, Buu managed to read the alien's heart. There he saw joy and emotion, but also melancholy. This stranger was the victim of deep introspection about the peace and joys he had known in his life, reflection stimulated by the notes produced by the musician and his instrument. Buu closed his eyes too, wanting to try. However, even a minute later, no matter how much he surrendered to listening to this aubade, he felt nothing. Just frustration. All he felt reaching his heart was the anger of the past few months, his lack of fighting and adversity. It was then that a brilliant idea came to Buu's mind. If he couldn't find a valuable fighter in space, then he would challenge the masters of all fields on their own territory. He was the undisputed lord among warriors. It was obvious now, no one could defeat him in a single fight. The truth was depressing, but he had not yet given up hope. Buu wanted to prove that he was at the pinnacle of evolution. He wanted to convey this to the universe and its people, who had known him for five million years as pure destruction. He was no longer the creation of Bibidi, the wizard. There was no doubt he would not be anonymous either. He wanted to be recognized, admired, feared... he was... Buu, the supreme creature! The show quickly ended with a standing ovation from the audience, except for Buu who kept his eyes fixed on the group, a look of challenge and excitement on his face. Yes, he wanted to be the best. He wanted that recognition from living beings. As the crowd gradually dispersed, Buu resumed his journey, with a specific goal this time. As he moved, he used his exaggerated speed to snatch some kind of popsicle from an alien child who held it between her limbs. She didn't even realize it had disappeared from her hands. Hilarious, the Djinn began to greedily devour it, while pondering the best way to achieve his goals. Playing an instrument didn't seem too complicated. It was an art widely spread on Earth and seemed to have developed equally in the galactic lands. He was eager to enter this new field that was unknown to him. However, where to start? He had more than limited knowledge. His meager affinities were what he could extract from the memories of his "guests". And even then. Piano, guitar, violin... instruments whose design and use he could understand, but how to extract from them a quintessence in a definitive and unsurpassed creation?... Buu saw that there was a long way to go. But how stimulating it was to have a challenge! Unknowingly coming through a dark and somewhat narrow alley in his wanderings, the Djinn was approached by two hooded aliens, each holding a sharp blade in their... hands? Paws? – "Hehe..." one of them said. "Hello, stranger... Show us your valuables, or you'll end up in pieces!" Buu chuckled sadistically before suddenly pointing his crest at the thief. – "Turn into a violin!" he shouted in a commanding tone. The pink beam struck the bandit, who choked out a panicked scream before transforming into a high-quality violin. As Buu grabbed it by the peg, the other thug was horrified and fled without protest. The space explorer, however, wasn't going to let the fun end there. Unfolding his crest once again, he struck the coward from afar, turning him into a doughnut, which he quickly enjoyed. No witnesses, no sweet ending for the perpetrators of this robbery, which was his final blow. Their demise was the springboard for a new life for Buu, who flew to the rooftop of a nearby building to begin his serenade.
Buu spent all his time practicing on this world, which was becoming increasingly exciting to explore. Regularly, he mingled with the population and didn't hesitate to secure a prime spot in the various events happening in this city. Very few people dared to deny him anything, given his unique and muscular appearance. Although Buu primarily wished to behave peacefully, he didn't hesitate to threaten or slap someone to show that he had no intention of paying for anything. But these were just isolated incidents, and he wasn't seen as a threat. All the better because he didn't want to plunge a world into terror again. Not yet.
Thus, for fifteen days according to the Earth calendar, Buu discovered new aspects of life and what it had to offer. Different types of food, advanced technology far beyond anything he had ever known on Earth, with its prehistoric electricity, scientific advancements beyond human understanding. Although Buu still couldn't care less about unraveling the mysteries of science, he felt a shiver run through his body whenever a technological puzzle befell him. He felt it; it was coming from Son Gohan and Bulma again. Strangely, these two always crossed his mind. Their influence and memories occupied more and more space. And he couldn't say whether he liked it or hated it. Their memories were very useful to him in the self-taught learning of the guitar, but he had no intention of losing his identity.
During his time in this world, Buu also met some aliens, creating a certain closeness with them as he visited. Quickly, Buu met various species scattered throughout the galaxy, their cultures. He showed great interest in civilizations that exhibited strong military power and also in warriors who seemed to have value. He was writing these things in his long-term memory. He would visit these worlds a little bit later again, to check if they could give him a somewhat exciting challenge. But for now, Buu had made progress in his quest to become a talented musician. He was in a bar with three aliens he got along with: one was a kind of humanoid octopus with four tentacles in place of arms. The second was some kind of draconian, a huge lizard dressed in Katchin armor. Buu had fun punching it with his fists using a bit of his strength, which impressed the dragon who respected him. The third was a traveling musician, whose bald head was covered in sharp spikes. His red skin and black marks on his face made him look evil and ominous, which didn't match his personality at all. He was using a strange and highly technical instrument, a kind of rod that lit up two lasers from end to end and made interesting sounds when spun in the air.
Your dear and beloved Buu will take over the typewriter for a few moments, dear readers. It's not fun to write a chapter like this in the third person. I hate that bad feeling of being a stranger. Although, it's also good to tell my story like this, as a real story. But I warned you, I'll be intervening regularly to share funny anecdotes! ...What is a typewriter? Just a tool I found in space during my travels. It's much more efficient and ergonomic than a pen writing on paper! Finally, I found out that there's something better than paper too... And I even have a better way to write... But that'll be another anecdote I'll share with you later! I hope you enjoy this chapter, which highlights my early days as an artist. You enjoyed my symphonic performance during the tournament, but know that at this time, after leaving your planet that I hold dear in my heart, I was still far from becoming the perfect being you know today. Son Goku and his relatives were my only sources of...resources. But they were practically all warriors, and their true influences were in my power, my fighting technique, and my behavior. So, you'll quickly understand, without me having to develop further, what will happen in a few paragraphs. By the way, don't worry. These strange aliens aren't really my friends. Proof: they don't even have names! I guess I really forgot about them... As for the guy with the Katchin, he thought I had come to test his armor. He would quickly realize he was wrong, hehe.
In summary! Get ready to witness the genesis of my future advent, or how a dark failure would bring about relentless conquest and fame that surpassed the very limits of the known universe!
The four friends were seated in a corner of the bar, quenching their thirst with a drink whose composition intrigued Buu. The establishment's owner had explained the ingredients to him, but he hadn't understood a thing. There was really too much to take in now. Besides, this drink was delicious. The red-skinned musician with horns emptied his mug in one gulp and addressed Buu with a tone of curiosity: – "By the way, Buu, how's your progress in mastering this strange instrument you have?" – "Ah yes, the famous 'guitar'!" the dragon laughed, inadvertently spewing flames. "How can such a small thing make such sounds? It's very ingenious, but too complicated for me, haha!" – "Mmmh" Buu mused with a mischievous smile. "I won't boast, but I think I'll become as good as a musician, as I am powerful. Perhaps you'd like a demonstration?" – "Go ahead" replied the octopus, crossing his tentacles on the table. Buu picked up the guitar that was sitting beside him. His companions still wondered how anyone could distinguish all those terrifying eyes on the instrument's neck. Surely cultural ornaments. The Djinn began to play a part of his composition. Using Bulma's musical skills and the lessons she learned in her youth, Buu managed to produce a series of captivating notes that had been very successful a few days earlier, in a position he subtly assumed in the main square, transforming its owner into a stool to sit on. In the bar, the others fell silent, pricking up their ears or other auditory orifices to appreciate the stranger's song. This musical tool was truly fascinating to many aliens. But one of them disagreed.
When Buu finished his piece amid warm applause, the alien in question approached the table and spat on it, looking at Buu haughtily. – "You call that music? Did you come with your space chariot from the depths of space, to sound like a filthy glaviot that just exploded? What a horror to listen to, you should go back to your underdeveloped galactic periphery!" Buu's companions stood up, looking at him angrily for the insolence. The horned musician bitterly said to him: – "You again? Aren't you tired of humiliating poor amateurs in competitions, now you're scouting bars too?" – "Hey, have fun!" retorted the other one with a sly smile. "Anyway, when you watch such a mediocre performance, anyone would rather pay a lot of money to hear real music, instead of having to endure a disastrous cacophony for free." – "Hmpf" Buu growled, instigated by a wave of Vegeta's vanity. "You think you're worth more than me? I challenge you to a musical showdown, in the public square. We'll see what the aliens say when they judge us. Prepare for a painful defeat." – "Oooh, I'm so scared of the big pink guy!" taunted the proud artist. "Fine, as you wish! But don't expect me to go easy on you, ah ah ah!" As he left, surrounded by bar patrons eager to watch the showdown, the horned musician said to Buu with a resentful air: – "I'm warning you, Buu. I know this guy very well. He destroyed the careers and promising futures of young people who embarked on the path of music. He's a sadist who takes pleasure in humiliating others and he loves showing his superiority. I challenged him once, and I have a bitter memory of it. Are you sure you want to challenge him?" – "Sure, why not?" Buu mocked as he prepared his guitar. "It's the perfect opportunity to show that I'm at the top. I'll reduce his pretentious smile to nothing. This midget won't even understand what hit him." – "Even so, you're too patient." grumbled the dragon, frustrated. "I wanted to grab his little head and crush it in the palm of my paw." – "I don't want a physical fight right now." Buu retorted as he left. "I'll humiliate all these geniuses in their own domain, and I'll become the best..."
Shortly after, Buu and the arrogant musician stood face to face, in the center of a crowd that surrounded them and remained silent, impatiently awaiting the start of the duel. Buu felt comfortable, the center of attention. He liked having all eyes on him like this. It wasn't quite what he wanted yet, but it was a start. Soon the whole universe would admire him for his genius! The condescending alien sneered: – "Well, go ahead, show us what you're worth!" Buu didn't need to be told. Drawing on the skills of his hosts and his training, he played a melody that was sometimes sweet, sometimes captivating, which enchanted the audience. His instrument, unknown to many, initially raised many questions, which were quickly swept away by enthusiasm and appreciation for the sounds produced by the strings of the melodious tool. Gradually, Buu's performance took hold of everyone around him, but those with musical ears gritted their teeth as they noticed wrong notes entering the performance. Buu could play well, but music lovers couldn't call his art perfect. Not even excellent. His red-skinned companion frowned, concerned that Buu might not be up to his opponent's level.
When Buu finished playing, the crowd applauded him warmly. The most enthusiastic clapped, giving him a feeling of comfort and well-being. But his extraordinary perception of combat did not apply in this context, and he did not realize that the congratulations were actually lukewarm. But the alien on the other side noticed. – "That's what I was saying!" he shouted disdainfully. "My turn. Admire my art of rhythmic Figrindan. It was a great success in Lord Frieza's time!" Using a kind of golden saxophone with multicolored rays shining, the musician began a frenetic symphony. Various types of colorful auras emanated from the main air passage of the instrument, with the... fingers? The musician was busy with the different buttons of the device. The audience suddenly began to dance gradually, animated by this new presentation that took over their sense of rhythm and infiltrated their hearts. Buu looked around, surprised by the phenomenon. Everyone was laughing and dancing energetically to the music. He himself felt impulses in the muscles of his shoulders. Was this the rhythm? Buu started to follow the beats as he tapped his foot on the ground, realizing that his melody was far inferior. He quickly became angry, then furious at the fact. This pathetic runt had ridiculed him and drawn the crowd's attention, while he, the pinnacle of creation, floundered like a child on training wheels. He felt... threatened. The musician concluded his solo symphony with a final note that resonated in the hearts of the crowd. They all gave him a unanimous standing ovation as he bowed slightly to thank everyone, his wide proud smile not hidden. With closed eyes, he turned to Buu, saying mockingly: – "So, musclehead, learn to use your brain and go challenge people at your level. It's always like this with idiots who think they have talent…" He was interrupted by screams of fear around him. He then felt grabbed and pulled into something. He widened his eyes in panic, just to find a pink rope coming out of Buu's stomach, pulling him towards him with a furious look on his face. He let out one last scream of fear before disappearing into the Djinn's body. The latter screamed in a howl of ecstasy: – "So what? What are you going to do now? You're mine, your talent, your years of practice, your life, everything is mine! Ha ha ha!" Very quickly, he felt his skills and knowledge developing in the field of music. In the process, he also acquired data about the people known to his new absorbed, and also about their memories. Buu realized the magnitude from the amount of information he was integrating with these absorptions. Everything in him was progressing. His body didn't change anymore, confirming what he was thinking when he did the same with Bulma. And he became aware. Why bother practicing alone?
He became perfect by assimilating his opponents.
He evolved as he integrated with others.
He had combat geniuses within him. A renowned scientist. Gods full of magical and divine powers. And now a music expert who had just exponentially developed his musical abilities.
Why take the lead?
He felt threatened and his absorption mechanism kicked in again. But he didn't want to do it anymore under threat.
No...
He would use this... to always get better, until he was truly the being at the top of the universe! As the crowd panicked at the sudden phenomenon, Buu turned his malicious eyes to his "friends". His fellow musician trembled at the sight of Buu's lustful gaze. – "Hey… Hey, Buu, what are you…?" He couldn't say anything else, caught by another pink string from Buu, that pulled the musician towards Buu to immediately absorb him. Yes... He felt it... His music was getting better and better! Mastery of a new instrument! An encyclopedia that gradually formed! He now saw his mind as a huge empty library that needed to be filled. Fill it and learn by heart. To then surpass it and crush the universe's knowledge, rising higher and higher! He finally found a purpose. He was the best of fighters. He would be at the top of the universe, and its inhabitants would become the instruments of his perfection! Confused, the dragon lunged at Buu and grabbed him by the shoulder, exclaiming: – "Buu! What are you doing? Why are you acting like this?" Buu's fist shot out with full force, effortlessly piercing the Katchin armor to penetrate the dragon's heart, which he lifted into the air with ease. The dragon spat a jet of blood that splattered on Buu's face. The latter licked the droplets from the tip of his lips, before saying sweetly: – "You're not interesting at all... It was fun hitting your armor, but I didn't want to break it so soon. We had a lot of fun, but now I'm not bored anymore. The universe and its talents will be mine!" Trembling with joy, Buu dropped the former companion's body unceremoniously and pulverized the last one who tried to escape, without any scruples. Buu still stayed a being of pure violence, although the feelings of Saiyans and Earthlings tempered his ardor. Now, that he had found his new reason to live in this world, Buu exulted and turned to the fleeing aliens, panicked at the evil creature revealing itself to them.
Buu looked at the technological structures and the starry sky of this world and smiled.
