Considering Videl could kill a Cell Jr, I guess she could keep up a little more against this Cold/Ginyu. I think we can say that Cell Jr specifically is around the same level as the OG ones, so kinda close to Perfect Cell, at least stronger than Semi Perfect - so much much stronger than C16.

I like to think that he's playing a bigger game here. Most people's motivations are the wishes, aside from Universes that already have DBs at their disposal, like U16 and U18. XII has some kind of DBs too, but that (what we assume is a) dragon seems to antagonize him (page 2110). The DBs also become active pretty quickly and I'm not sure XII can do anything about that (page 1516).
I also find it interesting that he always asks the same question for his dragon. Again page 2110 and page 993. Its not exactly a wish per say, but a question, like the answer to a riddle. Although he does ask for Buu's techniques, he also asked how he could defeat 18 easily. We know the results, but I wonder what are the answers from the dragon.

Just to be clear, I don't think Vegetto is wrong here or anything. He loves his daughter and wants her to improve.
But saying she was awesome up there? She was the reason they lost (although they would have lost anyway). She did get carried away like he says.

Now, he said in the past that he will kill her if necessary, since its his responsability with the gods and all that. He's not wrong, but definitely not the best way to handle that situation and not a good father moment at all. (pages 1794 and 1795)
The thing is, Bra always wanted to be as strong as him, to be just like him. He just never realizes that this whole side of Bra losing temper, she gets it from him. The thing that pisses him of the most is the fact that she's just like him and he doesnt see it.
For reference, early on we see glimpses of him losing his temper too: pages 729 and 742, page 1234, page 1824... there's a lot of examples.

So I dont think Vegetto ever was a great dad to Bra. But the whole point so far was to see how flawed he is, especially being born before Vegeta's full redemption. At the start we all assumed he would just win the tournment or we'd see some sort of Vegetto vs Gogeta fight, but DBM gave these characters a lot of backstory and development. Saying they made him a "villain" just feels way too shallow for what it is.


But yeah, TLDR, she loses her temper again against Zangya, kills her instantly and he just forgives her. It's either weird or it just goes to show how much crazy she can in fact get and how much she actually held herself at that moment. Most people back then thought it was weird. Based on that last U16 special where she destroys an entire solar system, I like to think it's the latter.

I see your point, but I think what XII did to Vegetto wasnt a "time manipulation" magic or whatever, but actually a "space manipulation" magic. He teleported Vegetto to another dimension and that's where time flows differently. That's very different from IKL's power.

My point is, while Vegetto was taken by surprise and Goku might be aware that it could happen to him just the same, what could he even do to avoid that? I dont think it would matter if it was a cyborg or android against him. In fact, he could do the same to Gast. I guess he just really wanted to absorb him.

But now that I think about it, he could do the same to 18 too, but he went the remote controller route. So maybe the teleportation wouldnt work on her since she's a cyborg? Hmm... 1 Replie(s)

Being able to regen oneself is for sure one of the most OP abilities out there, especially when you also are a super skilled fighter, have an insanely high power level, teleportation and all sorts of magic trickery.

I dont think this follows DBM at all. But U9 (human's universe) has no Goku at all, so its already vastly different. U8 Earth (Freeza) doesnt have Yamcha, Tien and Chaoz either.
Guess this would be more like Gast's Earth indeed. But I bet that's not the point of this story.
