I read about metal gear solid 4 (never played or know a slightest clue about it), and I find there is small but vocal criticism of it having very long cutscenes. Now its funny that most of the criticism of this goku vs vegeta fight is also about it being too long; this fight carries MGS4 not only in choreography but in how it impresses the reader! lol.

And then two senzu-syringes fall out of their pockets, which they inject each other with and start the fight all over again (Continuing from the MGS4 reference last page).

The only time Goku legitimately surpassed Vegeta was during the Cell Saga when Goku discovered the the FPSSJ transformation. Other than that, Goku has always had some sort of unfair advantage, so Vegeta insinuating that Goku has always been naturally better than him was always absurd to me.

Don't forget Goku using the Senzu beans on the way to Namek, and getting a single zenki from 90k to a good deal above Vegeta's last zenki he obtained when >/= to Frieza's first form... cause reasons... (MC plot) haha. But yeah I have to agree to an extent. I kind of took it as Vegeta only admitting Goku was the best in that moment, which is still huge for his character and pride. And/or saying Goku is the best pure combatant. Not that Vegeta couldn't ever surpass him.

One could also argue that even against Cell, Goku only knew to do that because of external help (all of his training from masters). Who did Vegeta have to teach him once daddy died? The dumb brute Nappa, and Frieza? - Mr. "never been hurt besides my father" so never had to learn much true fighting skill and strategy. Now to be fair, in the manga Vegeta goes to the "cell games" and uses normal SSJ, so it's implied he tried taking Goku's route, yet was only able to surpass 50% of Goku's power. However, that's also arguably the same reasoning, Vegeta never had anyone to teach him to rest properly, or to reduce his pride a bit showing him how beneficial a training partner can be

I'm always under the impression that while Buu is strong powerwise, his body is made of something weaker. Which is why it gets vaporized more easily than other characters, but he has regeneration so it doesn't matter for him.

Same goes for Namekians. See how Namekians always gets their arms or other body parts cut off and have to regenerate? That doesn't happen to other characters, at least not that often. Except Uub.

IIRC he was told he got a pass as a cloud is part of nature but that he was not to use it again as he would get disqualified.

If I recall correctly, kinto-un was declared as part of the environment (sort of) and was allowed just the one time as its akin to say the wind or something keeping him in bounds.

If I could insert my own assumption as to why that was allowed once and never again, its possible they never had that kind of situation come up. no one pure of heart ever had a kinto-un or something like it intervene. so they made a decision on the spot and decided that it was ok under the air bud clause. there was no rule against it, so its allowed.

so then at that point it was declared an invalid form of protection from out of bounds.

Was a sloppy speech but that is not what he said. He said that strength isn't the only thing that matters (it matters but it's not everything) and that sometimes techniques can win the battle, which is correct. Especially when techniques like Mafuba, Special Beam Cannon (yeah not gonna spell out that weird original name it had), Kienzan, Kikoho exist in Dragon Ball, not to mention several others not mentioned here.

Kami can Teleport, I think he did it in Dragonball once, he can possess people like in the tourny and then when he grabs Goku's hand to teleport him to Earth before Piccolo died and I don't think he needs to be on the lookout to teleport there, He and Baba can do weird things that Vegeta and other hand to hand warriors hate

So is he getting his ass kicked in the first round and then he searches for Piccolo or does he directly go for the rice cooker. Would be the first time we see Kami actually fight for real. He/Piccolo should wish for youth in any case.

I think I was given one or two via google docs what was used for the script) rest I searched for images online to get an idea what to to be used as refrence etc or find a consistent design on Pilaf's gang.) Overall I gathered together about 22 images prior to working on sketches etc.

Hello everyone, so the day everyone finally feared has arrived.

I get air time at last!


This was an interesting project, the concept is entirely from salagir, and was proposed in late December 2020, this wasn't the first page, the first one I did (which will turn up) was part of a trial to see how I fare in followig instructions given etc.

I did offer to work as my way of saying thanks for giving input to regards to another project.

The project was underway from late March and completed by Novemember, totalling 11 pages (and could had been more, 18 pages in all honesty, but some ideas were rejected as they couldn't work with the concept here)

This though was (after the trial) the first collab on a mini-story. I say mini story as this was orignally just two pages but I got it extended to 4, as an example Raditz punching Rhoshi was to be on page 1 in according to early notes but asked if it can be given more space, therefore a new page was made.

The 'not compatible' part was due to me using a wrong reference in relation to the building and goku & krillin's clothing so was amended in version 2.

Version 2 was asking if Raditz's disappointment could be it's own panel due to the shift in mood, the sketch is of salagir seeing there's space for it.

Overall this was a nice opportunity to try something new.

On another note, making Raditz 'younger' was tricky, as he was 17 in this era so wouldn't look as he would in the saiyan saga.
