Rereading this, I've realised that Cold's underhanded trick while Baddack was distracted is inconsistent with the later reveal that he's actually Ginyu. Ginyu would never have done that, he got angry at Jeice when he tried to help Ginyu against Goku. And Cold's internal monologue here doesn't suggest that he's doing it to uphold his masquerade.
